Telehealth Reimbursement Coalition Update: Join Us March 29

The Telehealth Reimbursement Coalition developed out of conversations with attendees over the course of several CTeL Summits. Led by CTeL, and bringing together stakeholders from throughout the telehealth community, its goal is to make a research-based case for expanded and more equitable telemedicine reimbursement via Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers.

Last year, the Coalition’s researchers undertook an extensive literature review in hopes of identifying studies that prove telehealth either leads to cost savings, or is cost neutral. While there were few usable, peer-reviewed studies on telehealth’s cost impact, the overwhelming consensus of those studies that were usable was that telehealth either led to cost savings or was cost neutral. This set the stage for the next phase of the Coalition’s work: filling the identified research gaps.

On March 29 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM EST, hear during our Coalition webinar from Jason Goldwater, a senior principal at Atlas Research, about the Coalition’s research efforts—and what you can do to get involved in them. We’re looking for telehealth organizations to send us small samples of de-identified data so that we can understand the elements collected and the format in which they are collected. This way, we can begin to build out a data dictionary and look at ways of both formatting and using the data, which will further our efforts to make a strong, research-based case for telehealth.

Please join us on March 29! We look forward to connecting.
